EOS Mockup Tablet Inspection Plan

1. EOS inspection plan.

An EOS inspection begins with a clear inspection plan. The location, type of energy storage system, capacity and normative framework. The inspection plan serves as a guide for implementation and ensures that both you and the client know in advance what is expected from the inspection. Although each installation is unique, the plan provides a standardized basis that makes the inspection objective and repeatable.

With our ready-to-use EOS inspection plan, you get started right away. Once approved by the client, you import all the data into the inspection report with one action. You enter the installation data only once. This saves time and prevents errors in the transfer from plan to report.

2. EOS inspection report.

Once the inspection plan is approved, you start the inspection itself. You inspect the battery or battery system visually and through measurements. In the visual inspection, you assess the housing, arrangement and safety distances. You also determine whether the correct protective measures and documentation are present. Through measurements you test the technical condition of the installation: insulation resistance, protective devices and overload protection are checked in accordance with NEN 1010 and NEN 4288.

Findings are classified according to priority: serious, serious or minor. This way the client immediately knows what needs to be taken care of first. Findings are immediately recorded in the app, including photos taken on site. Are there observations? Then these are automatically transferred to Incontrol.FIX, so that the repairer can get to work immediately without manual transfer.

3. Recovery via Incontrol.FIX

After the inspection, detected discrepancies automatically go through Incontrol.FIX to the repairer. The repairer immediately sees which work is open, performs the repair and records the completion in Incontrol.FIX. So the repair takes place directly in the flow of Incontrol.FIX. You then perform a reinspection to assess whether the deviations have been properly corrected and the installation meets the set standards.

Incontrol automatically integrates the measurement values from the first inspection into the reinspection report. The original and new measurement values are clearly displayed side by side, so that remediation can be demonstrated immediately. With the ready-to-use forms for reinspection, you avoid duplicate actions and the entire process is streamlined and fully traceable.

  • Automatic linking of observations via Incontrol.FIX
  • Repairer registers repairs directly in Incontrol.FIX
  • Original and new measured values side by side in the reinspection report
  • Demonstrable proof for audits and insurers

What is an EOS inspection?

An EOS inspection is an on-site technical inspection. An independent inspector checks that the battery or battery system is installed and operating safely and in compliance with standards. Both visually and through measurements. Findings are classified by priority and recorded in a professional inspection report. Recovery is followed up via Incontrol.FIX.

7 reasons to start performing EOS inspections

  1. You reduce the risk of fire and thermal runaway by identifying abnormalities early.
  2. To fulfill your duty of care as an employer in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  3. To comply with applicable standards. Essential for insurance coverage.
  4. Prevents failure of mission-critical systems due to undetected defects.
  5. Increases reliability and longevity of the energy storage system.
  6. Regulations are evolving and a formal inspection requirement is expected.

How does an EOS inspection proceed?

Have you recently had an energy storage system installed and want to have it inspected? Then schedule an appointment for an EOS inspection. An inspector will come by on the agreed upon day and time to inspect the system. In the step-by-step plan below, we'll show you how an EOS inspection works, so you know what to expect.

Step 1: Preparation and inspection plan

Prior to the inspection, you prepare an inspection plan. You define the location, type of energy storage system, capacity and normative framework. This plan serves as a guide for the inspection and ensures that both you and the client know in advance what is expected from the inspection. After approval, you import all the data to the inspection report with one action. You enter the installation data only once.

Step 2: On-site visual inspection

The inspector will inspect the EOS installation on site. You assess the enclosure, arrangement and safety clearances. You verify that proper protective measures are in place and that documentation, warning pictograms and the emergency plan are in order. You record all findings directly in the app, including photos taken on site.

Step 3: Measurements and tests.

After the visual inspection, you perform the technical measurements. The app guides you step by step through all the standard requirements in accordance with NEN 1010 and NEN 4288. You measure the insulation resistance of connections, check the operation of protection devices and determine whether the overload protection is set correctly. You immediately classify findings by priority: serious, serious or minor.

Step 4: Reporting and digital signing

Once you are done inspecting, you prepare the report with all the findings. You indicate which findings have the highest priority, so the client knows what needs to be addressed first. You sign the report digitally and send it to the client with one action in your own house style. Tight, professional and settled immediately.

5. Repair and reinspection through Incontrol.FIX

Have observations been identified? Then these automatically go to Incontrol.FIX as recovery items. The repairer immediately receives a task order and performs the repair. The client follows the progress in real time. After recovery, you perform a reinspection. Incontrol puts the original and new measured values side by side so that recovery is immediately demonstrable. The file is closed with full proof. The inspection flow is complete.

Cost of an EOS inspection.

The cost depends on the size and complexity of the installation. Get a quote from a specialized inspection company that works with Incontrol.

Factors that determine the price:

  • Capacity of the EOS system (kWh).
  • Number of battery modules and connection points
  • Location and accessibility
  • Initial inspection or periodic inspection
  • Additional thermographic examination

The most frequently asked questions

An EOS (Energy Storage System) is a battery installation that stores and releases energy. The inspection verifies that the system is installed safely and in compliance with standards, based on NEN 1010, NEN 4288 and PGS 37-1.

For any business with a battery system above a certain capacity. Think PV plants with storage, industry with backup power, logistics with peak load storage and the agricultural sector.

Starting in 2026, an inspection requirement is expected for systems above a certain capacity. Insurers are already setting stricter safety requirements.

Not yet. The inspection does fall under NEN 1010 and related standards. A SCIOS Scope specifically for battery systems is in preparation.

It is expected at least once every three to five years, and after any change to the system or grid connection.

Deviations automatically go to Incontrol.FIX as recovery items. After recovery, a reinspection follows: measured values compared, file closed. Inspect signals and FIX resolves.

Scope 12 inspects the solar power system (panels, inverters, cabling). EOS inspects the battery system that stores the generated energy. For installations with both, both inspections are relevant.
