As an E-inspector, you can get started immediately with your Scope 8 & 10 inspections using our ready-made inspection forms
The SCIOS inspection procedure for Scope 8 & 10 consists of a documented inspection plan that serves as a guideline for conducting safety inspections. While each inspection is unique, the plan provides standardized frameworks that objectively determine the execution and content of the inspection.
With our ready-to-use Scope 8 & 10 inspection plan, both you and your client know exactly what to expect from the inspection in advance. Once you have completed the inspection plan, you can easily import the data into the inspection report. This saves time as you only enter the data once, contributing to a more efficient and faster workflow.
After approval of the inspection plan by your client, you begin the Scope 8 & 10 inspections. You check the insulation resistance of each component, ensure safe separation of power circuits, and measure circuit impedance. All identified deviations and defects are classified according to the IB22 classification of the SCIOS Foundation.
With Incontrol E-Inspections, you can easily import data from your Scope 8 inspection plan, allowing for an immediate start to the inspections. Your work is streamlined, faster, and more accurate with features such as automatic IB22 classification, voltage drop calculation tools, defect lists, and support tables, enabling you to quickly compile professional reports.
During your Scope 8 & 10 inspection, you compile a report of the findings. In this report, you highlight issues that need to be corrected by an installer. A re-inspection then assesses and verifies whether these problems have been adequately resolved.
Incontrol streamlines the re-inspection process by automatically integrating defects and measurements from the initial inspection into the repair report. The tool provides a clear overview by comparing original and new measurements, and our ready-made templates for re-inspection help prevent duplicate efforts, ensuring efficiency.
Once you have finished inspecting, you can sign the report digitally. With just a ‘click of a button,’ you send the professional inspection report in your own corporate style, including your company logo, via email to your client and yourself.

SCIOS (Systeemcertificatie Inspectie en Onderhoud van Systemen) is a Dutch certification scheme that sets standards for the inspection and maintenance of technical systems, including electrical and heating systems. It's important to note that the guidelines for SCIOS certification may differ by country.
A Scope inspection is an electrotechnical assessment certified by SCIOS. There are various types of inspections, such as Scope 8, 10, and 12, which focus on tasks like verifying the safety of electrical installations (Scope 8) or identifying fire risks (Scope 10). It is important to note that requirements for these inspections may vary depending on the country.
The purpose of Technical Document 12 (TD12) is to ensure that inspection companies conduct standardized safety inspections under SCIOS Scope 8 certification. TD12 outlines the requirements for inspection methods and reporting.
After obtaining your diploma, you are not yet SCIOS certified. Your company must demonstrate to the Certification Body that it operates with the SCIOS quality system, and the employee must show the Certification Body that they can work with this quality system and are competent. Certification will only be granted to the company if both requirements are met.
Yes, as a provisional certificate holder, you go through the official certification process via an accredited certification body. Companies that meet all the required conditions also have the authority to perform SCIOS-certified inspections and maintenance work.
