Facta Elektrotechniek is an expert in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations, based in Uitgeest. For nearly 30 years, the company has offered a wide range of services, from installation technology to frequency converters and NEN3140 inspections. This year, Facta decided to switch to Incontrol for their reporting, an innovative choice that ensures greater efficiency and reduced error susceptibility.

Keeping businesses operational is the mission of Facta. Without Facta's involvement, entire companies could come to a halt. With Facta Rotating, Electrical Engineering, and Construction Technology, Facta is a comprehensive technical service provider, both in the Netherlands and beyond. Facta Electrical Engineering, based in Uitgeest, has nearly 30 years of experience in installing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical installations. This includes installation technology, lighting, control panels, distributors, data, frequency converters, and NEN3140 inspections. Whether it's a shutdown at a refinery, proactive maintenance at a dairy factory, or resolving a malfunction at the blood bank, Facta Electrical Engineering handles it all.

Since this year, Facta has been using the reporting software from Incontrol, and we asked Jeffrey Schoordijk, General Manager at Facta Electrical Engineering, for his insights.

Scope 8 & 10 inspections

Facta Elektrotechniek, an installer employing a total of 54 people, including 3 certified e-inspectors, currently utilizes Incontrol for Scope 8 and Scope 10 inspections.

"Before we started using Incontrol, we conducted our inspections using pen and paper and took photos of the findings with a camera," Jeffrey explains. "After completing an inspection, we would then compile the inspection report for the client at the office." This process took a lot of extra time and was unnecessarily prone to errors.

Jeffrey is clear about the advantages of digital reporting. “Recently, we inspected a location of over 5,000 square meters and, thanks to Incontrol, we were able to complete the report 150 hours faster than we did last year. We have thus become much quicker and more efficient in our work!”

"We have also started working in a much more organized manner. This is a significant advantage! With the ready-made templates, we ensure that all inspections are approached in the same way and that any findings can subsequently be addressed in a structured manner," says Jeffrey.

Periodic updates in compliance with SCIOS guidelines

At Incontrol, the templates are regularly updated with the latest changes. Jeffrey comments on this: "One major advantage is that the inspection plans and reports from Incontrol meet the most current standards set by organizations like SCIOS. These are updated quarterly, ensuring our company has incorporated any changes well before the transition period."

When asked if Facta is satisfied with the new way of working, Jeffrey is clear: "We're pleased that we chose to work with Incontrol!"
