In November 2021, we first introduced conditions within Incontrol as a beta feature. Since then, we have gathered a lot of valuable feedback and worked hard on it.
Conditions in your reports
One of the most common pieces of feedback was that data based on a condition was not displayed correctly in the reports. Therefore, we have rewritten the way your reports are structured. This allows you to effectively use the values from conditions in your reports. The following aspects have been improved:
- Automatic numbering in repeaters: It is now possible to display automatic numbering in repeaters.
- Moving automatic numbering: Automatic numbering can now be relocated using an alias.
- Conditions with dynamic content: Conditions can now be displayed in combination with dynamic content.
- Conditions in repeaters: It is now possible to display conditions in combination with repeaters.
- Linked images in repeaters: Linked images can now be displayed in repeaters.
- Conditions based on calculations: Conditions can now be displayed based on calculations.
Bugfixes
In this update, we have also resolved several bugs related to:
- Exporting 'oversized' values: It is now possible to export 'oversized' values to Excel.
- Finalizing a draft: It is now possible to finalize a draft with mandatory and hidden elements.
What are conditions again?
Conditions can be set within a container element. Here, you can specify whether the content of this container should be displayed if a given condition is met. This way, based on the provided information during your inspection, you can determine whether content should be shown or not.
Let's explain it with an example:
Every time you inspect a house, you want to display a specific set of questions for a selected area. You can manage this by using a condition. In your container, you can specify this by using the alias of the dropdown and indicating the criteria it must meet. For example: @ruimte = "Kitchen". All rows and elements within this container will now only be shown if the area "Kitchen" is selected from the dropdown.
